Unexplained Cases | Forever Home of the Abandoned and Forgotten: Forest Haven

Written by:  Rick Garner Case Filed: 10/1/21 Executive Producer:  Rick Garner   When one hears the word “asylum” … especially when paired with “haunted” or “abandoned” … dreadful images come to mind of decaying buildings, sinister hallways, and forgotten lives. Forest Haven in Laurel, Maryland, has all of these and much more. Walking these grounds, Rick Garner felt a similar sadness...the kind he felt at Pennhurst but perhaps something more...something darker. The facility opened in 1925 as the District Training School for the Mentally Retarded. It was a farm-like institution designed to provide patients with useful skills. Written by:  Darren Dedo Case Filed: 8/8/22 Executive Producer:  Rick Garner   Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: the birthplace of America. Home to the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall - where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed. So much history and some say a lot of ghosts. The Unexplained Cases team traveled to the City of Brotherly Love, to investigate several paranormal hotspots known to be haunted by the spirits from the Revolutionary War...of famous business owners and politicians...some really crazy dressed apparitions...and possibly a pirate, too! In our first of three investigations, we visit the world-famous Mummers Museum. Most parades have floats, pageant queens and marching bands, and then there is the annual Mummers Day Parade in Philly, which is wild and a lot of fun! The Mummers Parade is held every New Year's Day in Philadelphia. The first official parade was held January 1, 1901. The parade is related to the Mummers Play tradition from B
