Pennhurst Asylum. Spring City, Pennsylvania. Officailly known as Pennhurst State School and Hospital, this property was originally named the Eastern Pennsylvania State Institution for the Feeble-Minded and Epileptic. For 79 years, its buildings housed thousands of mentally and physically disabled. It would seem many remain here. 

On November 23, 1908, the first patient was admitted. By 1912, the facility was overcrowded. At the time, the mentally ill were considered a blight on society - to be feared and not allowed to associated with the general population. A Pennhurst Chief Physician, Dr. Henry H. Goddard, even said, "Every feeble-minded person is a potential criminal."

Some people say the river city of Vicksburg is a hotbed of paranormal activity. Paul Hamblin has tried to explain away some of things that go on in his home. He had ignored the occasional bumps and bangs of his fairly modern one-story home until he began to investigate further.

"First, I took some pictures with a digital camera, since I knew NEWSCHANNEL 12 had done this at several locations before. Most of the images didn't have anything...but quite a few had this white wisp of a thing. It wasn't there! It wasn't anything on the lens or on the ceiling. It also moved and wasn't in the same place on different pictures. I had also setup a small tape recorder on my dresser drawer before going to bed one evening. I knew the tape would run for an hour and I went to bed around the time things seemed to happen - about 2 a.m."
